Olympic BMX Cycling - History

Bicycle motocross (BMX) started in the late 1960s in California, around the time that motocross became a popular sport in the USA.  BMX features racers who propel themselves on their bikes around a course chock full of jumps, banked turns and sharp curves. BMX moved to Europe from the States in the 1970's and interest in the sport grew rapidly, and the first world championships took place in 1982.

BMX Cycling race takes place on designed paths. Cycling BMX is governed by International Cycling Union. BMX Cycling debuted in Olympics in 2008 Olympic Beijing. 2012 London Olympic will witness BMX Cycling being competed on 8th, 9th & 10th August at BMX Track, Olympic Park.
Olympic Cycling BMX Tickets can be purchased from Sport Ticket Exchange at nominal prices.
